The UK heavily contributed to the overall success with Amazon.co.uk claiming to have shipped 99% of orders on time.

Amazon.co.uk shipped more than 400,000 items in one day being almost a quarter of the Amazon's worldwide daily total. Amazon.co.uk's gift wrap service was also very popular with it getting through more than 85 miles of gift wrap and ribbon - enough paper to line the roads from London to Southampton!
